Laurence’s opinion was sought after by the BBC, as they recognised his years of experience in this field. They discussed the Gillette advert in which its references to bullying, the #MeToo movement and toxic masculinity split opinion . The razor company's short film, called Believe, plays on their famous slogan ‘The best a man can get’, replacing it with ‘The best men can be’.

I thought the message of accountability, responsibility and being a positive role-model was obviously a really good message. But I couldn’t escape the irony of being told how to build a better future by a company who’s core business seems to dump millions of tiny pieces of plastic into our oceans! But overall it has a positive message…
